My Career Highlights include: I grew up in the Boston suburbs, went to college, and began teaching school in 1966. (Connecticut, New York City, Michigan, and Long Island). After teaching 20 years, I moved to South Carolina in 1986. I have worked in Greenwood District 50 for the past 38 years as a school counselor and secondary math teacher at Greenwood HS (1986-2005), Emerald HS (2005-2013), Westview MS (2/2013–6/2013). I retired from full time in 2013 and have worked part time as a school counselor at Greenwood HS (2013-2016) and since 2013, I continue to serve as School Test Coordinator at East End Academy (formerly known as Genesis Education Center). Fifty-eight years have come and gone so quickly. I enjoy assisting you on your journey. My focus in education is to: "Motivate, engage, and empower students in their learning."
My Educational Preparation includes:
Bachelor of Arts in Education and Mathematics: College of Notre Dame, Maryland
(SC certified in Secondary Mathematics)
Master of Science in Counselor Education + 30: Fordham University at Lincoln Center, New York
(SC certified in Elementary, Secondary, and Secondary Advanced Guidance and Counseling)
Global Career Development Facilitator (since 2004); Career Development Facilitator Instructor (2005 – 2013)
