Message from the Director
Welcome to East End Academy! As Director of this unique program, I look forward to leading our teachers and staff in providing a personalized learning experience for our students. From our 3 year old learners to our 12th graders, I believe that all of our students can learn and will rise to meet the high expectations that we have for them. Our students can be successful in pre-academic, academic, social emotional, employability and life skills with the appropriate supports, interventions, structures and personalized pathways to learning that we offer.
I am a life-long learner committed to sharing my love of learning with our students, parents, and staff. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education from Lander University and a Master’s Degree in Administration from Clemson University. I earned a Doctor of Philosophy from Clemson University in Educational Leadership. In my educational journey, I have taught early childhood, elementary and middle school students with special educational and behavioral needs. I served as an instructional coach and principal at the elementary and middle school levels.
I have a wonderful family in addition to my amazing school family at EEA. I am the proud mother of Justin (25), Graceyn (20), Evan (18) and Remy the Black Lab (2), who all keep me on my toes. I have been blessed with a younger brother, Josh, who has special needs. It is through my journey as big sister, mom, and school leader that I am reminded daily of how precious our time is with our students and our families. As Director of East End Academy, I look forward to supporting our students, our families, our staff and schools in Greenwood District 50.
